Course detail
Basic skincare & facials
Built for complete beginners and for people already doing facials at home who want to do them correctly and safely. By the end of week two you will have performed twelve full facials on supervised paying clients, and you will know how to say no to a treatment that is wrong for a client's skin.
Curriculum
Week 1Skin science & consultationAnatomy, skin types on melanin-rich skin, contraindications, and how to run a consultation that finds the real problem.
Week 1Hygiene & setupSterilisation, single-use protocol, room turnaround and product decanting.
Week 2The full facialDouble cleanse, steam, extraction technique, masking and massage sequence.
Week 2Practical assessmentTwelve supervised client facials, then a graded assessment on a live client.
